I am a psychotherapist and coach in private practice in Portland, Maine.  I hold a clinical counseling license (LCPC) and received my MA in mental health counseling from Goddard College in 2014.  I received my coaching training from the Coaches Training Institute from 2008-2010. My clinical experience includes work with individuals, couples, and groups, work in residential substance abuse treatment and as a mental health crisis worker for Cumberland County Crisis.

My practice is particularly informed by the humanistic and existential traditions.  I draw heavily from mindfulness and somatic therapies, Gestalt, Emotion Focused Therapy, Buddhist psychology, as well as cognitive therapies, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

I have trained extensively in Buddhist meditation traditions, in the US and Asia, and I draw on the depth and insight of this experience in my work with people.  In practice, this means holding awareness, acceptance, and compassion as curative forces.
